Admittingly upon entering Il Bellagio my expectations were low. First, the numerous TVs over the bar seemed to me that they catered to a crowd far more interested in quantity over quality; a prejudice I developed while dining at a lot of places. Then there was the near perfect room, which looked as though it was a developed concept by some restaurant architect who gave thought to every little nuance. This typically is the tell-tale sign of a large national chain--think Cheesecake Factory from across the street. I prefer family restaurants where everything is perfectly out of place, but I digress. I'm proud to yelp that I was mostly wrong. I was very much pleasantly surprised by Il Bellagio and I can't wait to return.
First and foremost, the staff was amazing despite my arriving near closing. From the buss girl to the waiter, great job (thank you for being patient with my demanding dining guest). Second, the selection of Italian and American-Italian fare was excellent. Third, the wine list. Ah the wine list. I'd tip my hat to the sommelier that developed an excellent example of a wine list whose primary purpose is NOT to 'hose' their dining guests, if I wore hats. Instead, it was equally broad in wine representation and price, carefully catered to the mortals that dine at Il Bellagio. Throw-in a Solaia on the list and it you could easily offer same list unchanged at virtually any restaurant on the stuffier and less fun oceanside part of town.
She had the chicken parm with angel hair pasta as an accompaniment. I had the Margarita pizza. We both shared a highly customized version of the arugula salad. We made our own dressing consisting of the excellent olive oil Il Bellagio provides on the table and a lemon wedge or two. I added some sausage on the pizza and a drizzle of olive oil. We each had a different glass of red form the plentiful selection of wines by the glass (we over did it the night before so a bottle was not an option).
Here's my only two observations, but it was only the first observation that kept the fifth star out of my review (I would have taken 1/2 a star off if that were an option): 1. the tomato sauce on the pasta side-dish was unpleasantly too garlicy. I'm Mediterranean born and I love garlic but the sauce had a hint of burnt garlic. 2. The pizza crust was as expected for Florida: a valiant effort but not quite there. I was warned prior to relocating that the water in FL doesn't make good pizza dough.
I'm told that Il Bellagio has an amazing daily happy-hour and I can't wait to try it. If it is nearly as good as my initial dining experience, this may very well become my default afternoon drinking hole--especially since they have a plentiful selection of wines by the glass. -

Summary.
The staff is very attentive and sweet. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant and the food was amazing. This will be our go to Italian restaurant that finally taste great. We've been to many Italian restaurants and it's no good or too expensive.
Food.
The pasta dishes themselves were amazing and truly al dente. I got chicken Alfredo and my husband got chicken francese. Mother in law got pasta bolognese and father in law order chicken parm. I wanted the bolognese bowers it's a mix of beef and pork. (I don't eat pork). It looked really good. The chicken parm is huge for two servings which is a plus in my book. My dish I love the silkiness of the sauce but wish I had more noodles.
They had creme brûlée that was cold but if you ever go to Sarasota 5 stars hands down. This place was close almost identical to it in texture and flavor.
Drinks.
I order the lemon drop and it was worth every dollar. A lot of restaurants dilute the alcohol which is bad but they were authentic and I loved it.
Overall great place with amazing food and staff. It's on the higher end but worth it. -

I don't post very often so when I do it's for a reason. We finally found an authentic Italian restaurant in Florida (there aren't many). We had the lobster linguini special and it was honestly the best I ever had in my life(don't tell my mom it was better than hers).
The staff were very friendly and accommodating to myself and my family which included my 9 month old baby. We will definitely return good job to all the staff. I truly appreciated the service for I am in the restaurant business my self. -

Best Happy Hour in West Palm Beach!!!
$5.00 Pino Grigio (looked like 9 oz) and $5.00 Happy Hour small plates!! The Mozzarella Caprese is fabulous, the Meatball Sliders are exceptional and a full meal, lots of choices!! I chose the mozzarella Caprese and finished it off with the coconut flan! Best Flan I've ever had! I make a fabulous Flan as does my family but this Flan beats all! Definitely large enough to share! Great food great service and great value for an elegant and amazing restaurant -

III Bellagio Italian Restaurant is one of my favorite spots in West Palm Beach. I really enjoy the sausage rustiche, a fancy name for sausage and peppers. The risotto alla champagne is my other go to dish. Not only are these both superb, but the portions are large easily allowing for leftovers. When I'm feeling the need to eat light, I opt for the
salmone a letto. This dish is a delicious salmon filet gracing a bed of spinach with garlic and olive oil. In addition to the aforementioned dishes, I've enjoyed many small plates during happy hour to include calamari, flatbread and mozzarella caprese. Everything is simply delicious!
I love to dine al fresco because the fountains allow for a serene experience. Not to mention, the ability to people watch is bar none. Aside from dining here, I also like to engage in Happy Hour which lasts from 3-6 PM Monday - Friday. Small plates along with a small variety of specialty cocktails and wine is offered for $5. If you haven't experienced Happy Hour ordaining here, I recommend both.
